Source & Nature
BROMAZEPAMUM is the homeopathically potentized form of bromazepam, a synthetic 1,4-benzodiazepine anxiolytic patented by Roche in 1961 and approved for medical use in 1974 (brand names Lexotan, Lexotanil, Lexomil and others). Its molecular formula is C₁₄H₁₀BrN₃O (MW ≈ 316.16 g/mol; CAS 1812-30-2; PubChem CID 2441; DrugBank DB01558), structurally a benzodiazepinone bearing a 7-bromo substituent and a 2-pyridyl ring.
It belongs to the class of modern drug or ‘imponderable-pharmaceutical’ remedies prepared by homeopathic pharmacies from the finished drug substance. It is not a bromide salt and is pharmacologically distinct from the classical bromine remedies despite the shared element in its name.
