Clarke

The Gadus Morrhua patient is typically a deeply depressed, consumptive individual with hopelessness and a barely controlled desire for death. There is torpidity of intellect and absence of ideas. The remedy is indicated in phthisis and respiratory conditions where the alae nasi flap and there is marked weakness with bone involvement.

Key symptoms

  • Deep melancholy with paroxysms of helplessness and desire for death
  • Marked flapping of the alae nasi with difficult breathing
  • Severe coldness from hip down to feet
  • Excessively hot and dry hands with intolerable heat in palms in evening
  • Diminished strength of hearing and sight
  • Bone affections with fever and night headache
