Materia Medica AI (the “App”) is a study and reference tool for homeopathic practitioners and students, developed by ManuTech. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We’ve tried to keep it short and concrete.

1. Who we are

The App is published by ManuTech. For privacy questions, contact manohar.nv@gmail.com.

2. Data we collect

Category	What	Why
Account identity	Firebase user ID, plus the email and (optionally) display name returned by Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In. Until you sign in, the App uses an anonymous Firebase ID.	To sync your settings and cases across devices, and to know who is asking when the App calls our AI backend.
App settings	Theme preference, language, notification preferences.	Stored on your device and mirrored to Firestore under your account so they follow you to a new device.
Your study content	Cases, case transcripts, repertorization sessions, tutor progress.	Stored on your device (SQLite) and, when you opt in, backed up to your own Google Drive in the app-private `appData` folder, which only this App can read or write.
AI prompts	The questions you send to the in-app AI (remedy finder, repertorization, case tutor) and the responses, together with your Firebase ID token.	Required to call Google’s Vertex AI (Gemini) on your behalf. We do not retain AI prompt content beyond what is needed to deliver the response.
Usage analytics	Screen views, screen time, feature events (e.g. `case_created`, `tutor_session_completed`), ad lifecycle events, language changes, and approximate device/locale.	To understand which features are useful, fix crashes, and prioritise improvements. Collected via Firebase Analytics.
Advertising identifiers	Apple’s IDFA (only if you grant App Tracking Transparency permission) and Google AdMob’s advertising ID.	To serve ads via Google AdMob in the free tier. If you decline ATT, ads are non-personalised.
Waitlist	Your Firebase user ID and the AI feature you tapped “Join waitlist” for.	So we can notify you when a previewed feature ships.

3. What we do not collect

We do not collect health records, prescriptions, or patient-identifying information beyond what you choose to type into a case note.
We do not sell personal data to third parties.
We do not access your Google Drive outside the App’s own private appData folder.
We do not read your contacts, photos, microphone, or location.

4. Where data is stored

Most data stays on your device. The cross-device pieces (account, settings, cases backup, analytics) are stored with Google Cloud / Firebase, which Google operates in regions of its choosing. Your backed-up cases live in your own Google Drive, not ours.

5. Third-party services we use

Google Firebase — Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Storage, Analytics, Cloud Functions (privacy).
Google Vertex AI (Gemini) — AI completions (privacy).
Google Sign-In and Google Drive — Identity + your own appData backup (privacy).
Apple Sign-In — Identity, when you choose Apple as the sign-in method (privacy).
Google AdMob — Advertising in the free tier (privacy).
RevenueCat — Subscription receipt management (privacy).

6. Children

The App is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided personal data, email us and we will delete it.

7. Your choices

Sign out from Settings to stop sync. Your local data remains on the device.
Disconnect Google Drive from Settings to stop cloud backup.
Opt out of ATT in iOS Settings → Privacy → Tracking to receive only non-personalised ads.
Delete your account and data by emailing manohar.nv@gmail.com from the email tied to your account. We will erase your Firestore data and waitlist entries within 30 days. Drive backup is yours to delete directly from drive.google.com.

8. Medical disclaimer

The App is for educational and reference use only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified clinician for medical decisions.

9. Changes

If we change this policy materially, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, surface a notice inside the App.
