Clarke

Epihysterinum is a nosode for haemorrhagic conditions related to uterine fibromas and malignant tendencies. It is used in controlling uterine haemorrhage, typically given as one or two doses weekly in the 30th potency or higher. Dr. Burnett found it of great clinical value in this sphere.

Key symptoms

  • Uterine haemorrhage with or without fibrous tumour
  • Menorrhagia and metrorrhagia
  • Fibroma of the uterus

Epiphysterin. A nosode.

Clinical

Fibroma. Menorrhagia. Metrorrhagia.

Characteristics

This is one of Dr. Burnett's nosodes, used by him in cases of hæmorrhage and obtained, as I conclude, from a case of hæmorrhage in a patient suffering from fibrous tumour, possibly with malignant elements. At any rate, I have found it of great value in controlling uterine hæmorrhage, whether connected with fibrous growth or not. I have used it in the 30th upwards, giving one or two doses weekly.

Relations

Compare: The cancer nosodes; in fibrous tumours and uterine hæmorrhages, Thlaspi b. p., Fraxin., Hydrastis and its alkaloids.
